Ellie was born in Los Angeles; she first explored the art of filmmaking during high school at the Echo Park Film Center. It was during this time that she truly fell in love with the intersections between film and Los Angeles, adventuring into the landscapes of the LA River, Chinatown, and the downtown cornfields.

During her first year of undergrad, she went to Oregon where she pressed flowers, played the piano, and spent spare time at a friend’s countryside farm. She has a passion for animal rights, music, cinema, collaging, and video art. She now resides in Montreal, where she studies Film Production at Concordia University.
